Danielle Santiago is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio and the owner of Be Brave Counseling, LLC. She earned her Master's Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, along with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Danielle offers comprehensive mental health support and has extensive training in Mindfulness Based Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She is also certified in EMDR Therapy through EMDRIA, ACT, and Integrative Health for Mental Health Professionals.

Experience

Danielle is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in private practice providing a range of therapy services, including individual counseling, marriage and family therapy, parenting skills, mindfulness, trauma work, PTSD, domestic violence, career counseling, and motivational interviewing. Additionally, she has experience in psychiatric hospitals working with schizophrenic patients and in nursing homes assisting those with Alzheimer's Disease and chronic pain. As a school counselor, Danielle has focused on mental health support by helping students build self-esteem, improve motivation, and teach time-management skills and mindfulness techniques to reduce performance anxiety. She has also engaged with the community, supporting individuals from adolescents to older adults. Furthermore, Danielle has aided women struggling to find their purpose in life, equipping them with skills to discover their passion and helping them build self-esteem and empowerment after experiencing toxic relationships. As a certified Montessori and ESL teacher, she utilizes her teaching skills and understanding of childhood development to address childhood trauma and developmental delays.

Personal

In her free time, Danielle loves spending time with her husband, son, family, friends, and puppy. She enjoys traveling the world, skiing, hiking, baking, art, and attending Bible study and yoga. Danielle chose to become a therapist because of her own journey overcoming challenges — trusting in God and living a life full of faith.

Kaitlyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA, and her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Event Planning from Kent State University.

Experience

Kaitlyn has experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based interventions. Her work in community mental health has included supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, domestic violence, personality disorders, and trauma. She has a particular passion for working with adolescents and young adults, helping them navigate life's transitions while building confidence, resilience, and autonomy.

Personal

Kaitlyn's journey to becoming a counselor stems from a deep desire to empower others to find inner strength and self-validation. Having worked through her own personal trauma, she shows up authentically and compassionately for her clients. Outside of counseling, she enjoys reality TV, playing golf, spending time with friends, and listening to Taylor Swift.

Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. She earned a BA in Christian Education with a minor in Psychology in 2006, followed by her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021. Between 2006 and 2019, she also trained and worked as a Biblical Counselor.

Experience

Heather provides mental health support to a diverse range of individuals including adults and children. She assists clients with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, parenting skills, grief, crisis situations, trauma, spiritual issues, ADHD, and some ASD. She also offers vocational guidance, multicultural counseling, and provides counseling in Spanish. Heather works with all ages — from young children using interactive play methods through advanced adulthood — primarily within a spiritual, CBT, and Person-Centered framework.

Personal

Heather was born in Cleveland, Ohio but spent most of her childhood in Bolivia, South America as a missionary kid — making her fluent in Spanish with a love for diverse cultures. She returned to Bolivia after college to provide mental health support, where she married her husband and started a family. They now have 3 children and live in Medina, Ohio. She enjoys family time, the outdoors, reading, movies, and a good cup of coffee.
